Dr. Leibole was raised in Northern Michigan where he graduated Valedictorian from Ludington High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, summa cum laude. At Northwestern, Dr. Leibole played Varsity soccer. He received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine along with an MA in ocular immunology. Following his internship at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, Dr. Leibole performed his clinical residency in ophthalmology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine. He received the Arthur Rosenbaum Research Prize for most outstanding research by a Washington University ophthalmology resident in 2001 and has presented his work at numerous national meetings.

Dr. Leibole’s clinical focus is comprehensive ophthalmology and refractive surgery. He is on staff at the Newton Wellesley Hospital and the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Leibole is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgeons and the New England Ophthalmologic Society.
